thinking of going tonight, so any feedback ? Is it Help-Yourself ? Can you go back for more ? etc. Is it every day, or just Sundays ?

Do the The Swinging White Knights play there ?

Sorry, only just seen this.... Last year they started to do the carvery only Sunday, from lunchtime, as it was so quiet. To my knowledge that hasn't changed... :(

WELL !! Glad I didn't go then !! BUT, went to Isla del Sol in Silencio - a new Lebanese place , and it was great

Where's Sloggie and his bar reviews when you need him ?

I must say that the James Brasserie Carvery is highly underrated and deserves much much more recognition

I have had two Christmas Dinners there as well as numerous Sunday roasts and each time the food has been first class. The staff are lovely and so helpful.

I agree that the staff and food are lovely although they were quite tight when serving the meat.

IMHO I also thought it expensive, compared to other places of simliar quality and the fact the changed my 20 month baby 5.95 (childs price) when he had some mash and gravy was a bit off to me!

I guess if the menu was like this

1-6 months €1,95
7-12 months €2,95
13 - 19 months €3,95
20 - 36 months €4,95 etc etc etc

would be confusing, dont they just do mash and gravy off menu?

That's a bit steep Em, I would have expected mash and gravy for free - it is no different to someone going up a second time in fact he would be eating far less.

9 Plus, constructive as always!!:hit: we were told the "normal" menu wasnīt available, only carvery!

Zara, carveries are not good value with kids anyway, we had 2 others aged 6 and 7 who both eat like sparrows and to pay nearly 18 euros is quite a lot for not even 1 full plate of food.

It was the 1st time we have been and although I will go back, i certainly wont go with kids again

hi

The carvery is on the sunday and great value , I have had cheaper sunday lunches but it is plated up

It is a traditional Carvery with the meat carved in front of you , inside the restaurant has had a face lift ,its always great but last sunday it was packed , my advice if you can is reserve a time if it is in the evening by calling them , or emailing , which is what I do 922716306 they also have a site www.jamesbrasserietenerife.com

Added after 3 minutes:

hi

its on a sunday only but if your dining later I suggest you call and reserve a table , the food is fresh and good quality roast meats served for you , they have a web site www.jamesbrasserietenerife.com or call 922716306, I still think its the best for a carvery and the restaurant is lovely and after you can sit outside looking over the pool area which has also been done up
