Has anyone brought a replacement latptop battery back from the UK in their hand luggage and if so, was there any problem.

Yes I brought one back last week ,no problems.
Bought battery from here for about 24 quid.

i have bought a dvd player through a few times and a lap top and as long as you take them out of your bag and put them in trays as you are coming through there is no problem( if that's what you are asking):wink:

That's exactly what I thought but the battery from Amazon arrived with a great big label - DO NOT FLY! Don't want to waste good shopping space by bringing ny laptop - that's 3kgs!

I had the battery in my hand luggage,through security and X-Ray no problems ,no questions , I just kept the delivery note with it.
I usually leave my laptop in Tenerife and use my sonīs in Scotland,batteries in Tenerife are expensive !
Spooky , my old battery gave up a warning to replace ,today! Just in time!

Google 'Cargo plane crash due to lithium battery' (or words similar ) to understand the problems with transporting batteries by air.

The safest method as stated is by packing as hand luggage - I have never had a problem that way.
