The Citizens Advice Service (SAC) in Granadilla de Abona has a new image and is expanding its schedule, said Councillor for Personnel and Citizen Services, María Soledad Diaz Melian.

Sermugran SL, which is responsible for the provision of this service, reports that the staff making up the SAC, a total of 19, have a new uniform look that offers, “A modern aesthetic, simple and consistent with the provisions that develop daily”.

Melian Diaz says this aims to give uniformity when dealing with the public who use this service in any of its offices, which are located in Granadilla, right on the Mena González plaza at the Town Hall; in San Isidro, at the Cultural Centre plaza, and in El Medano, in the plaza de la ermita.

Public service hours have also increased, so, apart from the regular schedule from 8.30 to 14.30 in the three offices, Granadilla will open Thursday afternoons, San Isidro on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and El Medano on Mondays, from 16.30 to 19.30.

One of the main reasons for the changes, the councillor says, “Is to bring the public administration closer to the people it serves and that is why we work every day to improve the service, to receive and respond appropriately to all residents and neighbours in need”.

SAC provides information on all the activities organised from the different municipal areas, including payments, grants and subsidies, entry and exit applications and documents, tax information, self-assessments, collection of taxes, direct debits, modifications in tax rolls, water and sewer fittings, changes in the population census and certificates of registration, travel and living, among other things.

The phone number is 010, if calling from the town, and 922 759 900 if outside of Granadilla de Abona.
