I lived in Florida for 7 years, had plenty immigration hassles (could write a book! all my own fault though); any info you need please ask. Dunno of an immigration lawyer here, but the one who was great at helping Brits/Irish in Orlando was called David Stoller. Link below, he worked for US Imigration before setting up as an atourney, knows all the red tape.

Good Luck.

The mother-in-law is a us citizen so she is gonna sponser us both, i know she needs to start the process but we need a lawyer of our own to help with the paperwork and would rather use one here if possible so all talk could be face to face instead of calls and email,
I know we have to get police records from here and the UK and i know we have to have a medical done at a US embassy, but iīm guessing we have to have a lawyer for the mother-in-laws lawyer to pass paperwork to and from each other,
One of the main questions we have is are we able to move out there to live and work (legally) while we are waiting for our green cards (we will live with her) to start with,

Thanks

Think the family sponsorship route can take a while, once they allocate you a social security number you can work, they may give work authoisation cards pending approval, not sure. Lots of forums on US Immigration, you will see posts from many in the same position as you. Shusterman is a great site for info.
