My laptop is typing numbers instead of letters

When I try to type on my latop rumbers as well as letters come out, so it is impossible to send any messages, e mails or google anything.

The numbers button is locked on & I cannot release it, could this be the cause, if so not sure how to solve it?

Can anyone advise please?

Try using the Fn key at the same time as the Numbers Lock Jen.

Take your number lock off. What type of laptop is it?

Maybe some dust (or crumbs) lodged under the keypad and stopping the key from working - my does this with my noise buttons and my solution is to turn the lappie on it side and dunt it off a flat surface a few times :D
