Where is the best place to apply for a Credit card in Tenerife?

Hi, can anyone tell me the best place to apply for a credit card? Also, is it possible to get a pre-paid credit card here?? We are returning to the UK for a week's holiday and need to pay for carhire with a credit card.

Sorry this might be an obvious question but have you applied for one through your bank here?

Hi Chrissy56, as you may be aware credit cards on this island are not like the UK, a lot of the banks charge for them, and insurance, and some will not allow you to pay in full at the end of the month, We use IKEA, for our credit cards, althought they are badged as santander which we bank with, they are totally free with 5% discounts in many outlets, another which is free is issued by Carrafour, sadly both are in the north of the island, hope this helps.
