Built in 2001, this left hand drive motor home was imported to the UK, plated there and it is now in Tenerife. This is a luxury motor home with all mod cons.
It has a living area which converts into 2 double beds, there is a further double bed above the drivers cab and there is a full shower room, it is like home with loads of storage space including a box on the roof. It has a full kitchen with fullt height fridge freezer powered with gas or electric. The condition is very and it looks fantastic with lots of chrome and full size beach mural on the rear wall.
The living area has air conditioning and heating, so does the cab, a generator for 240v power and charging the battery banks, and cctv for reversing.
This motorhome is on ford T350 chassis with a huge cab unit and it is powered by a V8 Chevvy petrol engine but it can also run on LPG, there is a dedicated LPG tank for fuel.
MOT and tax till May 2013,
The vehicle needs to be seen to be appreciated, viewing in Los Cristianos.

The price has now been dropped to €28500 Euros, sorry the UK motor tax runs out on 12th December but it can be renewed online for 6 months after which the MOT will be required to renew the motor tax again. The motor home can be viewed in Los Cristianos, pm me for location.

Won't re-plating to Spanish plates cost a bit?

There will be a cost for Spanish Matriculation if it is nescessary to do that. If it used as a mobile home it can be registered anywhere (UK in this case) as long as it has current tax and MOT.

The price is now down to €26500 Euros which is as low as it can go, luxury American Motor homes like this are rare, especially in Tenerife.

I don't know of many people with that cash at the moment. Maybe take Medanoman up on his offer and get a better price back in the UK :)

Without knowing the service history and mileage - it is difficult to value fully.

Hi Kirsty, Sorry to be late catching up with the latest comments. I think it will be sold eventually it is just a case of finding someone who wants a Motorhome. There have been a lot of viewings but mostly from people with too much time to spare if you know what I mean. A Spanish guy is trying to sell his Land Cruier to buy it, he has been back to see it 3 time now. Fingers crossed. My daughter is not in a hurry to sell, not much point in taking it back to the UK being a left hooker.

Thanks for the offer but we think it has a better chance of selling here. Just waiting :)

Hi, It is a similar vehicle but it will be interesting to see if the owner accepts the current bid of €6000, there is no reserve price apparently?, 3 days to go on the bidding. The advert says it is a 1993 model by the way. It looks good, quite similar apart from being older.

Hi, Thanks for your post, the vehicle has been specialist maintained as you might expect and the mileage is 108k which is not a lot on a large engine like that. I agree it is difficult to value, like property, it depends what someone is prepared to pay I guess.

Personally I cant see that it has a better chance of being sold here as for one its American and also a motorhome which has not got European homologation, so therefore would be impossible/ prohibitively expensive to re matriculate here so I think that Medanoman is probably right that it would be better off in the UK as also the LPG conversion would also not be accepted here amongst other things.

The vehicle is registered in the UK and has an MOT so it is not European, then in your book? I think people need to understand that it is a mobile home so it can be registered anywhere, like a sailing vessel. Wherever it is registered it will need to comply with the rules and regulations of that country in this case the UK. Most European countries have been forced to adopt European Law + Regulations and the UK is no exception, so I am not sure what you are saying here. The LPG has not been converted, it was certified in the UK and would probably comply here also. Why did you say the LPG would not be accepted here amongst other things?. Back to boats again, they often visit other countries without restriction, same as motor homes, or any other road vehicle.

Whatever country a motor home is registered in it will need to be there once a year for MOT/ITV. Wherever it is registered it is as broad as it is long, matriculation of a touring vehicle here is optional and maybe a Brit would buy the camper anyway.

Thats cool, but it is still a vehicle, to register a vehicle in the UK is very simple, there are none of the bull**** rules that apply here or many other parts of Europe, conversions that are applied in the UK, such as tow bars, LPG conversions and even Trailers are not recognised over here because everything has to be homologated and nothing like that in the UK is required to be homologated, Yet, also is the same with most American vehicles/motorhomes they are not homologated/crash tested in Europe so therefore nigh on impossible to re matriculate here in the Canaries, if you don't believe me try it, just advising you thats all, dont want you to waste your time. Virtually any vehicle can be registered or modified on the UK roads, but not here in the Canaries. I am not saying it cant be used here or anywhere else in Europe come to that, but not permanently without re matriculation but with this vehicle it would be nigh on impossible.

Thanks very much for the detailed explanation, preliminary indications were that matriculation was possible and not that difficult for this 12 year old vehicle. If what your are saying is correct then it maybe best to retain the UK registration. I am not saying you are wrong about this, we just do not know and thanks for the warning flag. If anyone has tried to matriculate a UK registered motorhome in the Canaries, comments are welcome.

Dont mention it, even european built motorhomes are very difficult to re matriculate here in the Canaries, as we have looked into importing a Hymer from Germany and it is just prohibitively expensive, all this hassle for the sun lol
