hi all,

i will becoming over for a week next friday and as its my first time on the island was wondering if there is anywhere to park free near laguna park 1. i have never had any trouble parking on the other islands but a little advice would be greatly appreciated.

i will be using plus car as their service has always been spot on in lanzarote and fuerte.

look forward to your help

There is some street parking around but you need to be lucky to find it , the police are very active in area with Grua removing cars to pound .
There are some car parks around that you can pay for overnight stay or weekly (€ 60) or thereabouts.
If in doub't don't park !

oh, i did look on google maps and it became evident it as gonna be an issue, 60.00 to park, the cars only costing 90.00

any chance if i walked 5 - 10 mins would be ok?

There is a car park being built at the back of Orlando next to Sky Park that would be about 5mins walk or so, you will have no problem parking there. You can access from the Gran Sur junction of the TF1.

thanks,

is it free?

i have booked a car instead of transfers this time, wanna explore a little. but i hadn't banked on the parking being charged for due to me regularly visiting lanz and fuerte.

Yes all free, you can also park in the road along side the TF1, there is also another free carpark on the corner of Orlando (for Orlando but anyone parks there) where you turn into the road where Laguna 1 is, you will have no problem parking if you don't mind a walk. if you can't see wher it is let me know.

Parking anywhere in the immediate vicinity of Laguna 1 is at a premium forget it ... as has been posted earlier the best bet is on the road parallel to the TF1 at the back of the Orlando Complex and walk the 2-3 minutes from there ...now and again i have managed to grab a space in the side street next to the Rumpot Pub which is opposite the Laguna Apts...

There is a bus stop within 5 minutes of walking distance, so you can still rethink wether you really want to rent a car.

basically got a rental car because it was cheaper than paying for transfers i thought a hundred pound thoas cook whated was a bit steep. also having hired cars on the other islands i have found it very easy.

The problem you have is the location of the hotel is a dual carriageway with no crossover nearby , so if you are coming along Laguna park side going North the you are either forced into a long detour across bridge to get back round , and coming down other side of carriageway unless you are coming from west side of las Americas /san Eugenio itīs a long way back round!
