A total of 46 films are in competition at the seventh edition of the International Documentary Film Festival in Guía de Isora, ‘MiradasDoc,’ which has various categories in the competition including Canarian Documentaries, national, and international competitions in three sections – feature, short and debut. MiradasDoc will be held here for the seventh time, from October 27th to November 3rd. The Festival is actually meeting with international recognition and is focused on the situation of emerging countries and theThird World.

With these 46 films, some twenty nationalities are represented by the productions and co-productions. Half of the productions have European origin, fromSpain,France,Poland,Belgium,Germany,Portugal,S witzerland,Russia,LithuaniaandRomania. There are also several films made by producers based inPuerto Rico,Nicaragua,Chile,Argentina,Uruguayand theUnited States. The rest of the productions come from the Middle East (IsraelandPalestine), Asia (China) and Africa (Mali).

In the main competition is the section on international film, involving fourteen documentaries. The international competition also involves twelve short films, while seven films aspire to win the prize in the debut section.
