ADEJE Councilman for Works and Municipal Services, Gonzalo Delgado Díaz, has announced that the direction of traffic flow on the calle Londres in Costa Adeje has changed. He explained that the road works are included within the Convention Strategy for improving public space in tourist areas, signed between the Government of theCanary Islandsand the Cabildo’s Tenerife Tourism.

The councillor said, “During construction, we can guarantee at all times the passage of persons and vehicles as well as access to shopping facilities in the area”.

The refurbishment of the street is divided into two phases: the first, currently underway, is the improvement of the public space, with the widening of pavements, improved landscaping and street furniture and paving. This first phase of the project has a budget of 1.5 million euros, approximately.

The second phase will be from the roundabout in front of the hotel Jardines de Nivaria to calle Roma, with the same assurances of as little nuisance as possible, said Gonzalo Delgado Diaz.

When the work is complete, he added, the municipality will have a totally modernised space, adapted to the new tourist market
