COUNCILLORS for Works and Planning, Gonzalo Delgado Díaz and José María Álvarez Acosta, respectively, visited the road works being carried out on TF 583, along the stretch between Los Menores and Taucho.
Pedestrian sidewalks are being installed along the road in response to a lawsuit that was brought by the residents of the neighbourhood.
Both councillors agreed and said, “With this action we are providing a solution to the need that has been so clearly expressed by local residents, to improve accessibility and provide a sidewalk for pedestrians to walk safely”.
The work was launched thanks to a collaboration agreement signed with theMunicipalityofAdeje’s Employment Service, which has provided jobs for 18 unemployed people in the municipality.
The footpath will run about 1,200 meters by two meters wide. Work began on October 1st and while expected to be completed soon, no estimated date was given.
