I sometimes listen to the OAO show on Spreaker Radio Friday nights.
Tonight there is a special radio show on from 22:00 until around 02:00.
It is in aid of Hurricane Sandy victims.

It is an idea of a friend of mine who's name is Patrick Ryan.
Patrick plays in a band with his father Jackie.
He decided he would like to do something to help and so he put the show together.
It will not appeal to everybody unless you like Irish music and all things Celtic.

You don't need to donate of course and this thread is not to encourage donations but if you enjoy some traditional Irish music have a listen and see what you think.

There will be interviews and some great guest musicians.

This is an idea of the line up but is subject to change: -

1) Paddy Cassidy, Singer and good friend of The Ryan's

2) Beyond the Waves USA Celtic Show host, Graham will be on to talk about how Sandy effected his area

3) John McCullagh Legendary Irish singer and song writer now based overseas, will be on to sing live and chat

4) The Rev - USA Celtic fan New Jersey based will be on to talk about his hurricane experience.

5) Daibhi from Glasgow will be on to talk about the "Celtic family" and how Celtic was formed to help people, and how the fans and club carry this on to this day.

6) Ged Graham, International Irish touring singer based in Manchester will be on to sing a few songs for the cause

7) Aurora Celtic's, Deco. Dublin born Irishman living out in Canada explaining how many Irish are now over in the Americas,

8) Michael O'Connor Irish radio host New York, will be on to tell us how things are in his area and how the people are doing out that way.

9) Seamus from iCeltic App (TBC), hopefully Seamus will be able to get on at some point as he works usually when we are on, he's an Irish American living in Pennsylvania and will sing a song or two.

10) Rebel Hearts, fantastic band from Ireland, will be on for an interview and wee song,

11) Rory from Radio Rebel Gael New Jersey, will be on to explain the situation in New Jersey and the Irish community there.

+ a few more guests

I am listening to it at the moment. The only annoying thing is the time delay. Thanks for the link Fivepence

No bother TW, I know what you mean about the delay.
It's also difficult to keep the quality because of the various internet connections.

There is a fantastic Irish Band on in a while called Rebel Hearts from County Tipperary.
They are doing a chat and a great song called 'Culture'
