A PICTURE of joy: Amarilla Golf Club are proud winners of the seventh annual, three-way competition against Golf del Sur and Adeje Golf Club.
They overcame a 1½-point deficit against Golf del Sur on their course going into the final match to emerge victors by three points.
The event, played between teams of 16 between April and September, comprises a total of six matches – home and away – with a four-ball, better-ball Matchplay format.
A delighted Ian Sharp, who was just about to hand over his club captaincy when the tournament began, skippered the side.
“It was an excellent comeback at Golf del Sur, and we won the trophy for the third time,” he said.
