THE Mayor of Arona, Jose Alberto Gonzalez Reveron and councillor responsible for the area of Sports, Monica Sierra Fumero, have announced the XVII Sports Gala taking place in Arona.
The Sports Gala is an event that recognises the work of the athletes in the municipality of Arona. It honours the best sportsmen of the previous season, divided into several categories: promising, leading clubs and top athletes.
Thus, during the event the best female athlete is chosen of 2012, best male athlete of 2012 and best club of 2012, which have been previously chosen by the sports press in southern Tenerife.
Another important recognition of the Gala is the International Sports Award – Arona 2012, which recognises the career of an athlete of international importance for the promotion of the best values of sport.
It promises to be an outstanding event taking place at the Auditorio Infanta Leonor, on Saturday 24th November at 7pm, it is a free event, but entrance is by ticket only. Visit Auditorio Infanta Leonor for more information.
