This Sunday,Santa Cruz plays host to the XVI Fun Run sponsored by El Corte Ingles. Over 3,000 participants are expected to don their running and shoes and sprint from the starting line at 9am.
This year the route is slightly different in the vicinity of the Marine Park, Avenida Constitution and the Adan Martin auditorium.
Organised by the City of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and El Corte Ingles, the run is one of the most popular programmes, with great citizen participation.
There are different categories but everyone will end up at the same finish line.
Registration opened yesterday on the 4th floor of El Corte Ingles-up at 9pm. It’s suitable for all categories, ranging from children in buggies to the veterans, as there is no age limit.
The only requirement is to register which is free. As in previous years, there will be prizes for the top finishers in all categories and special awards for the winning teams who have represented schools, groups or associations.
