Looking for information about a recent murder in Costa del Silencio.

I have just heard about the Canarian shopkeeper who was murdered near the Albatros pub in Costa del Silencio. This happened a few weeks ago whilst I was in the UK. Apparently he was killed for his takings. Does anybody know which local English paper covered the story as I cannot find anything in their online editions. I did not know the victim but I was a customer of his.

Damn i lived here in Silencio since 1st November.
There was one day a couple of weeks ago when there was allot of police and stuff like that.

Where is that pub located?
I would like to read more about this.

The pub is right on the roundabout where the main collection of bars and shops, last time i was there it had 2 pool tables outside. Looking like things are a bit rough over there at the minute with murders and muggings i have heard of.

Thanks for the replies. The area in the photo is called El Trebol, I was hoping to hear that the scumbags who did it had been caught. The owner of the Gateway pub in the picture was beaten in his own apartment about four years ago. I believe he returned to UK and the pub remains closed.A sad state of affairs.

The photo is not from Albatros but indeed from Trebol , also about a mile from it .

I have now heard that three youths from Guargacho are being held and that he only had about 20 euros on him. The victim is about 60 ish and about five feet tall. How brave of these feral vermin.
