Astronomer and xylophone player Patrick Moore has died at his home, age 89.

A great man who has helped may of us to gain more knowledge of the universe.

He will be missed by many.

RIP Sir Patrick! About eight years ago he was giving an evening audience at our local theatre and answered two of my questions so informatively and eloquently.He signed a book for me. I admired him for his enthusiasm and for developing his real interest into a career and inspiring so many of us with a fascination for our solar system and beyond. Wonderful man and I've been a fan since my teens. he will be much missed.
