THE capital’s tram operator, Metropolitano de Tenerife, (MTSA,) is offering its passengers a new service by allowing tram tickets to be paid for by credit card at machines located at the tram stops.
With the introduction of this service, passengers will gain in convenience and speed when purchasing their tickets to board the tram.
From now on every stop has at least one vending machine that is enabled for such operations. With credit cards or debit cards from any bank (VISA, MasterCard), users can now purchase their tickets by following the steps on the machine’s touch screen.
During the first week, in the main tram stops, Metropolitan personnel will be on hand to inform users about the features and modes for operating this new means of payment and help them buy their tickets.
