Cost of flights in October 2013 from the UK appear to be at least double the amount that they have been for the past 2'years. Is this the new trend or are they likely to come down?

Thanks for that. I will look into using this company. The only problem is Gatwick is a bit of a trek. If the prices of other airlines are not going to reduce then the journey to the airport would be worthwhile. I generally use Monarch from Luton and they have always been reasonable prices but not next October where they are about £270 return. Has been £134 for the last two years.

Easyjet are reasonable as long as you book the day they go on sale after that they can be expensive. We find that Mondays are cheaper also.

Thanks Green, I will keep an eye out for easyjet for that date. I have a Monarch Vantage card which I use as I travel to TFS quite a few times a year but unfortunately that will have to go if they have priced themselves out of the market.

Just looked at the norweigan airline, very reasonable indeed, and on sale until the 26 October. Flights with Easyjet are on sale for dates to 19 October 2013. We booked our flights with Easyjet for November 2012 on 22 March 2012 so mid-March is a date to be looking at flights if the dates you are wanting are after the 19th.
