When is the Council going to sort out the beach afronting Arona Grand Hotel near the Sunday market in Los Cristianos. Its a dump.
Even if they cleared the grafitti it would look a bit better, its a disgrace.

I agree.

The 2 abandoned buildings on the beach, the suspended shopping block and the 'tinker' caravan park at the end all detract from an otherwise pleasant stretch.

Also if I remember correctly the authorities received a huge chunk of EU money to do this but suprise suprise it has vanished into thin air!

There was a thread on here a while ago when it looked reasonably positive . Included plans and links provided by ''Loaded'' with an idea that things would start Next year'' - i.e. 2013 -this year!

Good job we haven't held our breath on that one! I would rather see all (if any) available euros being ploughed into getting the Hospital finished!!!! That's an even bigger disgrace and should be top prioity!!!:confused:

I don't think they are mutually exclusive.

Surely now that they are making the drive to collect taxes and clamp down on illegal everything they will soon have their coffers full. :whistle:

I read in one of the papers last week that a Councilor at Arona is being investigated for a claim of 160.000€ for plans that he requested and paid a friend Architect to draw up for a care home! the plans never materialised but the claim was honoured! :wow:

Well now the old Mayor has been sacked for corruption I suppose another will have his fingers in the purse.

We had an apartment at Paloma Beach for 20 years and heard so many stories about the beach being upgraded we lost count. Have moved elsewhere now but still walk back to the area now and again. I think its got a whole lot worse. We walked around the back of the villa and was horrified to see an area that has been used as a toilet. Haven't been back since.
