To all the estate agent people on here, (and anyone else that wishes to comment).
Is there a market for people wishing to buy property from an owner who then wishes to remain in the said property as a tennant?
Some friends of mine are thinking of selling their house to invest the money elsewhere, but wish to stay on in the house they're in. They both work full time, and do not intend leaving the Island in the foreseeable future. They would guarantee the new owner to stay on for at least 2 years, providing the rent was within reason. They have even suggested that they'd be prepared to pay the 24 months up front, providing the contract was done legally.
At the moment, it is just one of a few options they're considering, so I'm just wondering if there are many people interested in buying property for long term investment rather than using as a holiday / retirement home.
