Is the 2nd February 2013 a bank holiday in Tenerife?

Is this date a Bank Holiday - if so are supermarkets, money exchanges etc open?

Yes, although it's a Saturday, it's Dia de la Candelaria.... so it's a bank holiday, but the banks are closed on a Saturday anyways.... not sure what else will be closed, some of the bigger supermarkets possibly, but you'll always find a mini-market open somewhere for the essentials, even in the non-touristic areas... not sure about money exchanges, but in touristy areas, i'd be very surprised if they were all closed.

I thought 8th December was also a holiday as, apart from anything else, it links so nicely to the one on the 6th?
