Hello everyone,

Looks like it may well be a busy transfer window for CDT this time around with activities in both directions already.

Confirmed transfers so far are:

IN:
Fran Ochoa (http://www.clubdeportivotenerife.es/pagina.asp?ids=1&idp=12009), arriving from CD Guijuelo who play in the same league as us. He is a midfielder, possibly attacking one, but I can't find anything more on him than that. Not even sure if it's a loan or a permanent transfer.

OUT:
Moving in the opposite direction (to CD Guijuelo) are striker German (http://www.clubdeportivotenerife.es/pagina.asp?idp=12005&ids=6http://) & midfielder Abel, both if I understood it correctly, on loan. Neither has feature all that much for us this season so makes sense to loan them out in search of regular playing time.

RUMOURS:
Some rumours suggest Victor Bravo is on the way out as his relationship with the coach is pretty bad. A shame in a way as I quite liked him playing as left winger last season, although wasn't convinced when he played in the middle as he got caught in possession quite often.

Also some rumours about us looking to sign some cover in the middle of defense. This would make a lot of sense as we are a bit short there. Medina can play there, as he did a lot last season, but the coach seems to like him in the defensive midfield role. Amado was rather poor in the one game I've seen him play (against Real Oviedo, taken off at half time I think), and Ayoze doesn't seem to figure in the plans either.

I also read somewhere that we might be interested in a local player from UD Ibarra who seemingly has done very well in the Tercera. Even if nothing comes from that I really like the fact that we are keeping a close eye on the local talent.

So, the transfer window is shut for now and we did end up doing quite a lot of business:

IN:

3 players inbound in total. In addition to Fran Ochoa we also signed one defender and another midfielder.

The defender is Baltasar Rigo (http://www.clubdeportivotenerife.es/pagina.asp?idp=12069&ids=6) who signed from CD Numancia. Seemingly a quite useful addition to the squad giving us depth/cover in the middle of defense.

The midfielder is Carlos Portero (http://www.clubdeportivotenerife.es/pagina.asp?idp=12080&ids=6), a more surprising addition as we already signed Fran Ochoa. Although not having seen either play & information on both players rather hard to come by not sure exactly where they will slot in & how similar they are. But since we signed him from RSD Alcala, who are in the same division as us, the coaching staff must have seen something special in him.

OUT:

A lot of traffic outwards. In addition to Abel & German (above) we also (from what I can gather) tore up the contracts of Josmar Zambrano, Victor Bravo & Amado. And Ayoze Placeres has been loaned out to CD Marino for the rest of the season.

I suppose the Victor Bravo one was inevitable as he and the coach didn't see eye to eye. Amado (central defender) didn't seem to be up to scratch so (seemingly) no great loss.

The case of Josmar Zambrano is a much sadder one as he only a few seasons ago was hailed as the shining diamond of the future (another one of these "the new Messi") with rumours of clubs like Barca & Sevilla looking at him. No idea where it all went wrong with him but sad to see him leave nonetheless.

So all in all more outs than ins, but as what we have has been good enough to put us top of the table & we kept all the regulars I feel we are well on track to compete for hopefully the top spot & subsequent promotion.
