The Glasgow giants have indicated they could seek to quit Scottish football if league reconstruction plans are approved. Lee is well aware that any attempts by Rangers to switch south of the border would be met by a number of obstacles.
But he believes such problems are "not insurmountable" and the issue is set to be discussed at a club summit on January 21. Lee told TalkSport: "On Monday we have a mid-season meeting of clubs so that is a topic for conversation. It's up to the clubs to make rule changes."
Lee added: "There are one or two problems, of course. It's up to FIFA whether a club can change countries or not, so that's the first issue. And the second, and probably the most important, is the problem it would create with promotion and relegation and having an uneven number of teams.
"It would be wrong if the Football League would not take Rangers as part of the promotion and relegation system. Otherwise they would be in the Conference keeping out a team who might have the wherewithal to go higher in the pyramid.
"But they are not insurmountable problems. You will have to have the co-operation of a lot of different organisations to make it possible, but where there is a will there is a way."
Rangers chief executive Charles Green is unhappy with plans for a 12-12-18 league format, which have been agreed on in principle by the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football League.
If approved, the reforms could be introduced as early as next season, leaving Scottish Third Division leaders Rangers facing a second season in the bottom tier regardless of title success.
Faced with such a scenario, the Ibrox chief wants the Light Blues to explore opportunities to play their football elsewhere. Green, who has proposed an alternative 14-14-14 format, believes Rangers fans would back a move to the fifth tier of English football.
Speaking on TalkSport last week, he said: "I could join the Conference and I would be in a higher league than I'm in. It doesn't matter to me (which league Rangers are in). I can tell you this, if the only option is to go into England and start at the lowest level, I believe Rangers fans would support that."

Can´t profess to know much about Non League Football but the concensus on some boards us the sooner they go the better - 2 years notice required to quit Scottish game , around 5/6th level of English football , moving stadium as rule requires them to be located in England or Wales , that´s just for starters then if they managed promotion they have to be accepted by FA into Big Boys´ League .

Alex. Thomson certainly gets to Traynor! I,ve read and re-read the "Interim Accounts" which I, am at a loss to comprehend. Having said that I,m just an ordinary "punter" so these things must be outwith my abilities in a business capacity. Having said that I always followed a simplistic method of accountancy in that what I viewed should give me a clear indication as to how my business was operating. These "Accounts" don,t seem to do that. I have three points of financial breakdown being 1) Capital (ie monies which I or others have invested), 2) Operational Income (monies taken on a day to day basis) and 3) Expenditure. After setting these three out I know if my business seems ok (from a financial basis). Now taking points 2 and 3 as being the most important I see that a loss has already been made after only 7 months! So i,ve taken 9.5 Mil. but spent 16.6 Mil. in running my busines I have needed to dip into the monies I had when starting the business up. When I,ve no more left in the orginal pot what do I do in the future? I know. Stop paying VAT and Social Security monies held and due to HMRC? Great idea! The previous mob did that and got away with it making sure that I get my wedge out before anyone else has the opportunity to get theirs. What a brilliant way to operate my latest business venture 'cause I,ll never see the people who have lost out again.
I apologise in advance if I,ve got things wrong.

Serious question to JJ and Sean,,what's the answer for scottish football? everyone is blaming Rangers being out the SPL, prices are far too expensive, football on show is crap,fans are skint,far too many clubs,Sky on in the house. I think a lot of factors, putting Rangers back is not the answer, only Sky gain from that and the level of team is miles away. Rangers deserved what happened and is still happening, but something needs to be done to stop decline....................What????

Where are you going to get the 26 teams you need for that ??

I don't think that there are actually 26 totally full time clubs in the current league set up.

Ticket prices reduced by approx. 30%. more fans would go thus creating better atmosphere at grounds and generate more income for clubs,more fans = more money, not less fans paying more. Allow clubs that can afford it a feeder club of under 21 players, this taking away risk of playing young playing young talent in top league,at present possible for only 1 club(Celtic) one governing body for all leagues.

I would say smaller clubs live within their means, sure there are too many but what's the answer to their fans? Clydebank way? too many corrupt bassas in it for themselves.

Totally agree - the current set-up is completely unsustainable and needs a complete overhaul. We need to set limits on the number of non-Scottish players at every club in the same way the Italian Leagues did.

Look at what has happened to the game in Scotland and the national team since the top clubs started flooding their squads with overpriced foreign players; there is no point bringing on youngsters in the current set-up when there is very little chance of them playing every week.

The problem is that Turkeys and Chickens will never vote for Christmas.

Also the present SFL rules only allow a club to have 22 players over the age of 21 registered - at present Sevco have 26 players on board over 21 - the new proposed rule change will do away with this restriction !

Laughable reporting. Really? Because someone says were dead it must be true. I don't know why all these authorities are agreeing with Rangers then. Wow, Im really lost for words with that website. You might as well sent me links to the Celtic FC official forum to convince me that Rangers are dead. I actually consider our fine to be quite fair, we did break certain rules in the season that CW was in charge. We were punished for his wrongdoings. But to blame us for not disclosing his disqualifications? I believe the SFA have a 'Fit and Proper Persons' test that he passed. Even before he took control of Rangers, it was reported in the press that previous companies had gone bust. Why did the SPL allow the acquisition to go ahead. Obviously Murray wanted it to go ahead because he was running scared of the huge 'Big Tax Case' that would have ruined him. The same big tax case that we won by the way. Had Murray had some balls, you would probably have 2 less titles in that little trophy room of yours.

My point about Hearts and our situation was if they are liquidated, will they be sent to the dungeon that is the SPFL 3 or whatever its new name is? Not about fines imposed for rule breaking. Tom English is right on some points, if a little condescending, Hearts haven't done what we (Craig Whyte) did. I really don't know why CEltic fans love him, he ruined Scottish football. You cant honestly think you are better off without us in the SPL?

Funny how its banter coming from you but when it goes other way it seems to be different. What is the point of showing the abbreviated accounts what do they prove, I would probably say if you looked into the accounts a bit further there will be many cross invoicing etc between all the subsidiaries to maximise "tax planning" but I am about as qualified in accountancy as you are, but I am not naïve enough to think that that there are many hidden items which are not probably illegal but will be a form of tax avoidance ( I think Rangers were cleared of tax evasion ? ). I think it was Deloitte that signed off the Accounts , Stewart is the NOMAD (Nominated Adviser) who look after the Corporate Governance of the Company/Club - Malcolm In-the -Puddle Murry strongly advised against using them last year but was totally ignored by the Charlie and the Spivs who have had dealings with this NOMAD previously .... stinks again !
