Francisca Perez Lemes has been elected the Senior Carnival Queen in Santa Cruz in a gown designed by Antonio Santos Arteaga. Perez Lemes represents the Asociación de Mayores San Albino de Tíncer and Cafetería Artadi de La Matanza.
The mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, crowned the newly elected queen, who will remain in place until next year.
Runner-up went to Tita Maria de los Milagros, with her theme “Bohemian Nights, Moulin Rouge”, once again designed by Antonio Santos Arteaga and on behalf of the Association of Greater El Molino and the neighbourhood of Health.
The show which took place at the Recinto Feria in the island’s capital was broadcast live on TV Canaria.
