People wishing to participate in the representation of the Passion of Adeje can now enroll at the Centro Cultural de Adeje.
Culture councillor, Nayra Medina Bethencourt, has announced the preparations for the representation of the Passion of Adeje 2013 (Easter).
The councilor said, “the representation of the Cross is undoubtedly the main event and central activity of the Easter celebrations. Each year, more than three hundred amateur performers, mostly residents of the municipality take part.”
Thanks to the involvement of all these people, who engage in a selfless way, it’s possible to perform this important cultural event that has become part of a history of the municipality.”
The event is broadcast live on Spanish television, and is brilliant viewing for those who can not travel to the municipality and take part.
The Passion of Adeje has become a showcase for tourism promotion, many visitors choose to visit the town to enjoy this great cultural event.
This year the Passion of Adeje will be incorporating major changes which will be announced in March.
Individuals are invited on February 22nd to the Adeje Cultural centre to view last year’s activities at 7pm, entrance is free.
