Well the island of Tenerife has one big tip , or land fill up at Arico which most people detect with their noses as they pass by at high speed on the motorway.

But i suspect you are looking for your local "PUNTO LIMPIO" or "Rubbish Collection points". Every local council has a few. Adeje, Granadilla, Arona etc etc all have collection points designed to collect the rubbish you no longer want and pre sort it ready for recycling.

There are also rubbish transit stations in each municipality..but for domestic levels of waste the punto limpeos should be enough for you.

This page is the official Cabildo Page explaining the Punto Limpios, at the bottom of which are PDF files containing the maps and directions of the individual collection points.

Rubbish Collection Points...Puntos limpios

A Punto limpio is a recycling center where waste is received that has been previously pre sorted by the citizens. It is, therefore, a collection system that allows:

Harnessing the materials contained in municipal solid waste so that it can be recycled directly, and thereby achieve a saving of raw materials and energy, as well as an amount of waste that must be treated and / or removed.
Avoid uncontrolled discharge of large debris that can not be removed through conventional services refuse collection.
Separate hazardous waste generated in households, whose disposal with other urban garbage, or by pouring into the sewage network, presents a risk to the operators of these services, Can damage the treatment and disposal facilities, and may contributes to pollution of the environment.
