The majority I would say are Belgian and Flemish, with Brits coming just behind that. Its quite a mixture really as there are also a lot of Canarians .Percentage wise I couldnt say.

Total "empadronado" in Costa del Silencio is shown as 7,865 as of 01.03.13
Demographics do not show nationality split, although the municipal ratio is 54.23% Spanish and 45.77% foreign from a population of 88,121
therefore based on this ratio the number of foreign residents in Costa del Silencio would be 3,599 against 4,266 nationals.

Very interesting but how many Brits there do you think have continually kept up to date with their empad?
Looking at most of Silencio's inhabitants (not all of them) I shouldn't think they'd know how to book a flight on the internet let alone register themselves at the sac ;)

Difficult question to answer legally.

I lived in CDS sor 5 years and most of the people I knew were not registered.

I would say 40%, of which half wouldn't appear on the local empad.

walk the streets and you'll see 90% Brits

Try sleeping at 1am in the morning and all you'll here are Spanish.

Go to the best restaurant and it'll be full of Belgiums.

Go for a walk and the Germans and their 'walking' sticks will overtake you

Drive down the main road and only the Spanish will be overtaking you

Go to a bar, you'll here English being spoken - by any/all Nationalities

so, answer, depends upon where you go are are at the time.

Used to be a high percentage of expats, I think it still is. It appears that way when we visit.

Coast of Silence. It never was when I lived there for 8 yrs!

Barking dogs day & night, loud music from what was then known as Club Marino Aparthotel several nights a week! Some nights it was if the flamenco dancing was being performed on my balcony!
