Does anyone know where to buy a good webcam? It will be placed indoor, looking out into our garden, so no need for weather proof version.

Have been in Leroy Merlin, and they have some, but they seem to do most in fake webcams and outdoor versions.

Preferably in Santa Cruz or north of the island.

There are self-serving cctv camera that connect directly to your wifi router allowing you to view away from home on an iPhone or Android phone etc without needing a PC .

As a slight alternative could I recommend a GuardCam? Not sure if you can buy them on Tenerife, but you can from Amazon, so might be worth looking so you then know what to look for. Or look at their website www.espuk.com .

We have installed a few following a burglary. Essentially the GuardCam is a security light for outside, but has a small camera withinin it and captures images day and night on a memory card inside. When card is full it continues to just wipe over old images. You can remove the memory card to transfer images to you computer, or download direcltly via a wire supplied. You can look real time also.

The lamp/cam can add audio warning, such as a dog bark, or "Warning you are being video'd" (don't know if you can correct to Spanish!!!!), or you can turn off the audio.
