How do you organise change of ownership on a car in Tenerife?

A question that someone out there might know the answer to? A friend of ours wants us to sell his car for him (here in Tenerife) and we're wondering how to do the paperwork as he won't be coming out until the winter. Any ideas?

Short answer is he will have to sign an authority form (original) - plus some other paperwork allowing you to act on his behalf.

Thanks Goldenmaniac, I thought that would be the case....I thought the Notary would have to sign off a "power of attorney". Perhaps it will call have to wait for the winter. Thank you for taking the time to answer x
