The Canary Islands Parliament has unanimously approved the extension of hours of Tenerife North Airport.
Ignacio Gonzalez thanked all deputies, especially those from other islands, supporting NLP to understand that what is good for Tenerife.
Gonzalez said in his speech said that the decline in North Tenerife, which was once the largest airport in the Canary Islands, began the same day that South Tenerie opened in 1978, which negatively affected, in economic terms, the most populated area of Tenerife Island, the north, which includes, among others, the municipalities of the metropolitan area, Santa Cruz and La Laguna.
The extension of hours of Tenerife Norte is great news especially for Puerto de la Cruz, which was the first tourist resort in the Canaries.
