THE Farmers Market to be set up in Valle San Lorenzo has at last approved the rules by which it will be governed by the municipality of Arona; it seems that the new produce market has been talked about for ages with no actual action.
This market to be located in the heart of Valle San Lorenzo, aims to boost the primary sector in general.
The Farmer’s Market will have room for 82 outlets, loading and unloading areas, a room for the reception and preparation of products, a room for the administration, public toilets, office, training room, games room, covered parking , concierge, storage and technical rooms for installations.
Local Farmers may sell their own produce with the addition of artisan honey and confectionery.
The Department of Economic Development of theMunicipalityofArona, headed by Afonso Marcos Esquivel, will be responsible for the management and administration of the Farmer’s Market, he said, “We consider it very important for the economic diversity the future commissioning of this facility, as well as the complementary path with tourism and promoting synergies between them”.
Among his responsibilities are, among others, to perform the necessary procedures for the selection and allocation of posts, take appropriate administrative documents, etc.
