Is anyone having typing problems since having to change from Hotmail to Outlook?

Nearly every time I type, the cursor moves to either the start of the sentence or to the middle of a word, sometimes it moves to the e mail address line I am typing to. It constantly moves around.

This happened to me last year prior to the Hotmail change, & someone on here suggested I use Firefox, which did resolve the problem temporarily. But now it has recurred & I am told by a friend with the same problem, it has happened since the hotmail/outlook transfer.

It is extremely annoying & frustrating as well as time consuming.

I have contacted Microsoft & am awaiting their reply.

Does anyone else have this problem & how can it be rectified, PLEASE?

Sorry PP, can't help. Just wanted to apologise to you in advance if you find me thanking 9plus for his post as being in any way rude to you. His comment made me laugh out loud and spit tea all over my ipad!

Still chuckling!

Miss Penelope is well renowned for having computer problems, maybe it's time for her to go back to using "pen & ink"!;)

This happens on my laptop as well.
I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 8 so i think it is
a bug in the system.
(As i was typing this, using mozilla, it happened again)

I have just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 on it as my tech man said I'd not cope with Windows 8! Maybe it's a Windows 7 fault then, if so, who do we report it to to get it rectified?

I am truly astounded that your "tech Man" had the audacity to imply you might not be able to cope with Win. 8. I think it outrageous!

Just a guess, but are you typing on the laptop's keyboard by any chance? If so, maybe you are brushing the touch-pad? If you are using a separate keyboard then this idea of course is completely irrelevant.

I have complete faith in my tech man, he knows the problems I sometimes have so advised me against Windows 8.

I have just spent 30 mins on the phone to DELL tech support who has corrected the typing problem for me HOORAY.

I was told to tell anyone with the same problem to reinstall the ALT touchpad & quickset driver. Gobbledegook to me but those with a better computer literacy than me will hopefully understand!

Thanks everyone
