I have a very disappointed nine-year-old granddaughter who expected the weather to be "boiling". Is there any sun anywhere for us to drive to?

Not here in Puerto de la Cruz I'm afraid. Been overcast all morning. But you can keep an eye on these island webcams. Just don't believe the blue sky in Icod as that cam is not working.

Oh sorry....yes you will find sun if you go up Teide above the cloud line, as you can see by the sun on the Izaņa installations in the cams.

Not very bright here in Puerto Colon area either ,heavy cloud about
Gomera looks bright though!
My hubby, like your granddaughter ,expects wall to wall sunshine always here

Usually El Medano. Windy but usually very sunny.
In the mornings we often stand on our balcony up the hill and look right towards El Medano and left towards Los Cristianos and decide in which direction to spend the day. Sometimes, but very rarely, the sea and Africa are a better option.....

Yeah, its sunny here in El Medano, and if you stayed out of the wind on the main town beach it's warm enough too.

Plenty of wind though , its going to be a fun day out windsurfing :)

Been sunny in Chafiras since about 10 o'clock. Breezy though.

hope it was better for you today.... seemed worse in Galletas/Fraile... even thought I felt a spot of rain when I got home from the gym LOL

Hope its better next week when I arrive, got to be better than the UK. Still got our central heating on.
