Just wondered if anyone had gone through the process. I have the paperwork from the Town Hall and it has the list of what is required but it just seems a bit too straight forward.

Do you mean formally registering as a common law couple? "inscripción en el Registro de Parejas de Hecho de Canarias" if so see here http://www.gobiernodecanarias.org/cpji/ripc/parejas_de_hecho/ and here http://www.gobiernodecanarias.org/opencms8/export/sites/cpji/ripc/parejas_de_hecho/_contenido/descargas/Guia_informativa_pareja_de_hecho.pdf. which you apply for on form Modelo Oficial PH1 y Anexo PH1 de Declaraciones Responsables. and have to have been registered as living the same address for a year or more.

I suspect what the town hall are doing for you is a "certificado municipal de convivencia" which is a different thing - what is the ultimate aim? why do you need to register?

It is Inscription constitucion en el registro de parejas de hecho, my friends want to register in case anything happens to either of the. I have been round in circles on the goverment website, I have the PH1 and anexo and they have all the paperwork on the list, just could not believe it could be that simple.

You can make it complicated by having a pre-nup effectively. Its must be tough to think of worse case scenario of you guys breaking up, but that is what a lawyer worth their salt would recommend you consider.

Did you have to go to Arona registry office in Arona?
