Are BONO cards still available and how do they work?

Can somebody tell me if Bono card are still available and what do I get with buying one (for ex. how many rides for 12 or 30 euros) and other possible details about the card
We are arriving on 14 June

Unless its changed in the past couple of weeks but Bono cards are now € 15 and € 25.

The previously released €30 Bono cards were withdrawn earlier in the year and no longer valid for travel but any outstanding credit can be transferred to a new card by going to the PLDA bus station (assuming you are down south and near PLDA bus station !)

How many rides for 15/25 , well that of course depends on the distance traveled and not an easy answer ! , our trips normally cost 1.15 and that's from Los Cris to PDLA or Chafiras or Buzanada etc ie fairly local trips.


You can also buy Bono cards at the airport, the shop is nearly the furthest from arrivals !

Turn left after you come through arrivals (and before you leave the terminal), head towards departures and its a bit of an 'arty' type shop and not what you would expect, the BONO Card sign isn't too prominent from recollection. Not sure of their opening times.

Bono Cards are certainly worth the money if you are going the use the bus for a few trips - probably not worth it just for a single trip - you don't need a Bono card for each person.

If you don't quite have enough money remaining on your Bono card for your fare you can make up the remainder by paying the bus driver cash, this way you do not have any outstanding monies on the card.
