Irrespective of where the fraud is being perpetrated, reporting the statistics won't get the money back. They need to be more active in closing the practices down.

We make much fuss about a camera or such being stolen on holiday yet turn a blind eye to neighbours who are stealing thousands from us. Often boasting about it, I might add!

It's about time something was done about this, as it makes it tougher on genuine claimants - who actually need the help.

This is a computer age - a passport should record you out and back into a country. Is it so difficult for British authorities to follow extended absences? Is it so difficult for the Spanish authorites to red-flag extended stayers and how they finance their stays?

Maybe they are not interested as they spend their ill-gotten money in Spain

Maybe a very good start would be to look "IN-HOUSE" in the British Government???

Are you implying that the British Government is committing benefit fraud?
