Witnessed a team in action for the 1st time ever last night. 4 undercover (2 middle aged, 2 v young surfer type dudes) visited all the bars and restaurants along Las Floritas, about 8.30pm. Quite aggressive and thorough, asking drinkers if they worked in the bar etc, going through contracts and NIE numbers. One had pockets stuffed with flyers he no doubt took from a PR. Then, 945pm, they turned up in Fontana Square Los Cristianos, same scenario. Good luck out there folks.

Pity they cant be as rough to the Romanian bag snatchers!
What about inspectors on the streets for proper thieves?

Just what tourists need is perfect strangers coming up to them in a bar and interrogating them with no actual cause !
What are peoples' rights in this situation , can they tell these "inspectors" to go and do one . or do they have police type powers?
Obviously money getting tight in Arona with all the corruption and mismanagement , they have to get it in somehow!
I just hope your guitar was in tune for a change Sean, that'll be the next delito!

Aye i sang them "3 Little Birds" even though there were 4; one had a visible pistol so some kind of police involvement.

What , an armed policeman for a licence infringement ??
What are they going to do - a summary execution if they suspect you?
Disgusting way to treat tourists !

Maybe they'd had a call saying that a number of songs were being murdered...

It's Quince mate...Christy Moore made a mistake with the title and amended it in later years.
The men of the "Connolly Column"fought with the XV International Brigade....there was no fifth International Brigade....there was a Fifth Regiment but they were made up of Spanish Communists.

Old argument that one, great tune. Sounds daft when you add the factually correct "quince", but.
