I love the Hotel Botanico, the Spa and the lovely gardens and the slightly old fashioned air it has.....BUT their dining room at dinner is a farce. Our Christmas there was so full of Basil Fawlty scenes to be believed....waiters who had never waited on anything other than a bus stop, food that came and was promptly taken away again with a sweet smile, a drinks waiter who came over to say sorry * for what? * and promptly disappeared...oh the list went on and on. They have a staff problem during the holidays and fiesta days that is quite plain. We loved it all, but shall not return.
