How can that be? How can you succeed with anything that you didn't attempt?

I meant that sometimes some lucky people find happiness and contentment is bestowed upon them by chance, or the love of a good soul, or good fortune. And consequently they live successful lives. They neither expected it nor searched for it.
That is if one believes that you can define success in terms of contentment in life. I think I do.
