All I can remember of the park lane one was that it was a vastly overpriced hamburger joint that was set up to fleece its customers on everything and that there were many others that were as good or better at half the price

I honestly thought it had gone out off business years ago

Whoever is taking the franchise is taking a big risk as the cost is astronomical and they must have very deep pockets.

Basically your right.....a expensive Hamburger Joint, but good quality in a trendy atmosphere and staff who are young and generally enthusiastic.

I love the Edinburgh one, going in December. Obviously like everything, people's tastes and budgets vary, and its trying to replicate a USA theme/culture, which doesnt always come off (Hooters for example). I would say in Tenerife with the fierce competition it may struggle.

We also went to the one in Barcelona and had to wait to be seated for about half an hour, but was impressed with the food, service and décor and liked they gave you a handset that bleeped when your table was ready !
Only downside was it was quite dark but the music was good .
Will it work in Tenerife....I don't know.

Yep I agree well overpriced and not that good either, I only went if my boyfriend took me there. I hated standing waiting outside when it wasn't that good, staff run off their feet, everyone rushing around.

Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife is doomed from the start then.

Unless it's a much better experience than anything else available and also don't really think it relates to the world today it's too old

Unless it's a much better experience than anything else available and also don't really think it relates to the world today it's too oldit will probably be great for the first few months, then if it gets found out and doesn't live up to the hype? the for sale signs will be up, i could name at least 5-6 really good places to get good steak and burgers in the south all good value and all have been trading for years, holidaymakers and locals alike are easily taken in by a famous named eatery but the love affair doesn't last for long if the food and service isn't up to standard, that said i hope it does well and lasts for years i will certainly give it a go when over because i have never been to one:)

A friend visited the Hard Café and told me it is worth the visit. Price for a drink are quite high, but you need to see the café as a little museum... There's beautiful stuff to see! :)

Sorry folks but it's pants. I've been to a dozen or so Hard Rock Cafés around the world and this is by far the most devoid of character of all of them. Normally there is a big square cocktail bar in the centre of the room with a cadillac suspended above it. All the walls and ceiling are normally covered in memorabilia. Tenerifes effort has a bar against the wall and no memorabilia, the whole place is as devoid of character as a hotel lobby or conference room. We ordered two strawberry daquiries which normally come in 500ml glasses or goldfish bowl type glasses, ours came in skinny little tube glasses. We also ordered two tequila shots. The bill was 29€ (6.20€ each for the Tequila shots!) A cesar salad is 17€ and a burger 16€. You've got to be kidding right? Also normally Hard Rock staff are trained flair barmen, not these. No flairing or showmanship of any kind. Anyone impressed by this shoddy show hasn't been to other Hard Rocks. Maybe they can improve on the staff but the interior layout is pants!

From the HR website

Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife, located on Playa De Las Americas, the main street through the city, is housed in one of the biggest buildings on the island. Surrounded by shopping and leisure activities, the Cafe is the highlight of everyone's day, local and tourist alike.

Apponted with modern, and very cool, decorative flare and that world-renowned Hard Rock style, the Cafe features 2 floors of dining and relaxing, 2 function rooms for all your group needs, and 2 terraces looking out over the beauty of the city. With more that 100 pieces of memorabilia, Hard Rock Cafe Tenerife feels very familiar, at the very same time you realize you are in one of most incredible locales on the planet.

It's time to experience Hard Rock's newest Cafe for yourself! We'll see you soon.

I´ve been - it was alright, decent service (they´re certainly trying hard to train the staff up to the high level you find in their other venues) and in a good location. So far as prices, they are similar to other restaurants and bars in this area. Our main disappointment was with the wine selection - almost entirely Spanish. Same with the beer - Miller being the only non-Spanish drink. If they can get a few international wines and beers - all the better.

I got everything i wanted - just right. Real American buffalo sauce, blue cheese, fresh huge chicken, funky fun server, good atmosphere, agree on wine and beer, think it will go from strength to strength with European tourists who have to go miles to visit one liking it as it adds to their holiday experience. Local residents, maybe less so.

I have got to agree with greg it is the worst looking hard rock café I have ever been to and I have done over 40 of them,
it just looks like a works canteen admitted the food was good and hrc burgers are always more expensive than normal burger joints but drinks are way over the top, 4-50 euro for a dorada is a joke and it has no character to it.

Didn't eat there either.
It sounded good but what little I saw of the place I didn't see much memorabilia.

my mate informed me today that he was very impressed with it, and he takes some impressing:dontknow:, i suppose if you have nothing to compare it to then you are going to be impressed, but if it hopes to compete with other bars around the area then i could name a few where you can get a good burger for around €8;)

Went a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty good, very modern building, had a bottle of wine at the bar which was no more expensive than any other restaurant, the staff were friendly and there was a fair bit of memorabilia on the walls . I didnt eat there but the food looked very good if a bit on the large side, I will be going again next week. Only thing that struck me was the quality of the merchandise on sale, wasnt quite as good as others I thought.

Just because it doesn't have the bar in the middle of the room or a car above it doesn't mean its not a Hard Rock Cafe who knows it could be a new style for them. I have eaten there and had a few drinks in it, yes the drinks are on the expensive side but they are also expensive in the Magic Bar next door. As for the food it was great and there was plenty of it, as far as I am concerned it was value for money. It is just the same in New York, Las Vegas, Orlando and London they are all on the expensive side compaired to bars and restaurants close by, my advice is if you are there go and try it, after all you are on holiday hopefully to enjoy it, bite the bullet and pay a bit more.

Well we got to try it tonight, and boy was I glad we did. Got to be my favourite night so far, ok it costs €16 for burger and chips. But it has got to be up there as one of the best I have ever had. And it is €5 for a. Pint but I have seen one of the best rock bands in Tenerife. I have had the pleasure of seeing sound chaser, the lizard kings, and vagabond, but porno surf are up there with them, what a fantasicly talented energetic and enthusiastic band they are. Banging out songs from the Beatles to green day, absolutely fantastic night. If you go ask for Dario, our waiter for the night a lovely lad:tiphat:

Tenerife attractions attract the tourists around the world. These are the names of Tenerife attractions, Loro Parque, Playa de Las Teresitas and Teide National Park. Loro Parque is my favorite attraction because of its nature viewing. I also visited there. You can enjoy there vocation adventure.
