Thanks for that didn't want to spend 379 euro but the white one at 199 will be the one I go for

It's really worth saving/spending the little extra and getting the black edition, it's 10 times the camera the white edition is.

Just for the slow-mo, better battery and 12 mp,

5 mp (res) just looks weak now most things are HD

I personally wouldn't want to spend €199 on a 5mp camera.

Just had some feed back on a club forum I belong to even the 5mp gives amazing results will post some pics later.

Bueno bueno the GoPro is predominantly a reasonably priced video camera, mp doesn't really have much to do with the video performance, because it's a camera image value.


The GoPro 2 is far better in camera mode than that of the GoPro 3 white and even the silver edition.

You only have to compare the 5mp of the white to the 11mp of the GoPro 2 and that's without taking the burst rate into account.

Getting the white or even the silver in my eyes is a complete waste of money.

But hey it's a personal choice I'm sure you know your stuff and have done a degree of homework on it.

Yes luckily GoPro has advanced a few levels from back when the Hero was released as the quality back then was terrible.

I'd be really shocked if you landed a they were shot with a GoPro3

No dynamic range whats so ever, with exception of the last timelapse which seems to be quite good for an original Hero in Low light.


Vid 1 totally blown out whites, there's NO detail in that snow,
Vid 2 is flatter than a pancake with no tonal range at all,
Vid 3 totally blown out whites.


I'm surprised that was taken with an original Hero actually.
