Hi,

My mum is the worlds hardest person to buy gifts for. She is defo the woman who has everything and if you buy her the wrong gift she will ask for the receipt! Haha

My dad panics for whole year about buying her presents now don't get me wrong he's really bad , but she spends so much time and effort on everyone else that I like to at least try and make it special.

They own a property in tenerife and we are all going over for Xmas (and her birthday) but this year they got a long let in that was too hard to turn down so we are all staying at a friends empty apartment so it won't be like usual even thou everything is the same it's not "our stuff"

She enjoys spas and I thought maybe a spa hotel for 2 nights to be pampered and have someone cook etc would be nice (heated pool, spa , fancy hotel etc)

Now we don't mind being anywhere around tenerife (there place is golf del sur so obviously somewhere else) we have been all over the island so open to any options don't mid spending around £400 for 2 ppl and a room

Any ideas or if not even just a good spa day (been to the thermal place at adeje and wasn't impressed)

Thanks

Friends have been up here a few times and say it's lovely and relaxing - not sure how cold it will be up there this time of year though LOL

And here is lovely... I stayed one night on my honeymoon, room with jacuzzi, evening meal, brekkie and spa after brekkie (and if you say it's for a special occassion, they may even put loads of rose petals everywhere and usually free bottle of champers) ....

Definitely recommend the spa in the second link. My wife and her sister went last Christmas and still talk about it.

Yes Gran Tacande is a bit out of my price range too, it was a wedding present, handy knowing the right people hehehe, staff discounts and all that :marry:

You'll never beat the Botanico in Puerto de la Cruz.

You don't need to stay there to use the spa facilities. They are a separate business.

So would you say this is the best spa in tenerife (in the south anyway?)

I looked at staying at its £300 per night around Xmas :(

No, I don't know if it is or not...........never stayed there, yet!

I suspect the Abama and Bahia del Duque would be good bets in the South, but think you would go a long way before you beat The Botanico in Puerto de la Cruz.
