Hi I'm Dave from New Zealand and I have recently moved to the north of Tenerife to get to know my girlfriends family.
I am starting to learn Spanish and have been busy exploring Tenerife, Lanzarote and La Graciosa. I am finding the Canarian people extremely warm, friendly and helpful and the food and landscape amazing.
I would love to find a cheap motorbike, possibly in need of restoration or T.L.C to occupy my time and explore the island more, any leads on where I could find one would be greatly appreciated! :tiphat:
Professionally I am a trade qualified marine painter specialising in French Polishing, wood finishing and restoration on Boats, Pianos, antique and high-end furniture. I am happy to discuss any of these topics if people have questions or need help on projects etc.
Being a keen fisherman I am also looking to get a fishing licence and try my luck so any tips or good spots to fish would be great to know too :)

Thanks, and its great to be here!
Dave.

Welcome Dave!

I have fond memories of the seven years I lived in New Zealand. I even got married atop Auckland's One Tree Hill (before the tree was chopped down).

Good to hear, glad you could enjoy one tree hill while it still had one tree!

Hi there, yes a good 10 years of wood finishing behind me.
Get in touch with some details and we can talk more.
Many thanks!

Hi Dave welcome to the Forum. I toured North and South New Zealand in a Motorhome a couple of years ago. Why on earth did you leave such a wonderful country?
