Adverts appearing on first post

Every time I open a thread to read, the first entry is only one or two words wide and a huge advert on the side, can I change it pleases? Thanks Terrynsue:(

I had the same problem until a kind forum member put me right. Just touch the >> sign to the right of where it says new forun posts
