Try facing East. It usually works. As long as you are outside a building. Not in bed in other words.

From the top of Teide of course.

Here are 2 pictures I took in December from upper Golf Del Sur, looking toward Los Abrigos over the golf courses. These were taken with in 7 minutes of each other

It has to be Upper g.d.s. as in lower G.d.s. all the foreground would be Beach,,,,,,,

Perhaps LUCKY could catch the odd Cruise Liner in the Centreground....?

You have to be Lucky to wind up in Lower Golf del Sur, and especially lucky if you end up in Santa Barbara next to the sewage works.

The Vincci Hotel on San Blas would look out over the sea at the sunrise , and its right on the coast with nothing in front of you except the sea view. I would imagine that would be a great spot, or El Medano has several hotels and is probably a very nice place for a holiday.

Quite honestly though anywhere in the South to the left of Los Cris, with an unrestricted view is going to get good sunrise views.

The photos were taken from my terrace. The first pic is a single shot, the second is 4 shots stitched together in photoshop to get the panoramic view.
