Interested in this one because this drained us of all our money (and our family's money)

We took on what was a bar before.
The site was perfect, the rent perfect the possibilities endless.

Only to find out that the Cabildo hadn't bothered to correctly classify the land and denied us permission to open a fortnight before we were due to do so.

We had no choice but to sell what we could to pay for a return to the UK.... Gutted is not sufficient.

does anyone know who is now opening this bar and how did they secure opening permission,

TIA

It's entirely possible that it's Canarians who have paid a back hander or maybe the problems have now been sorted.

Whoever it is, they must be completely mad :dontknow:

It has been tried before with no success.

There are insufficient houses in the area to warrant local trade.

Of the people that go to the Eagle Park, a lot go by free bus. If people do drive there, it is on the way up to the Eagle Park and people will have had coffee / something to eat on the way there. For people leaving it is on the wrong side and they will probably have forgotten about it.

The people that ran it before had no heart.
The area has boomed since it closed, several new apartments blocks are populated and more are being built and the hospital that will one day be finished.
The other local bars at the bottom of the hill are overpriced and follow the same tired format as every other bar in Los Cris and surrounding areas. We were going to offer reasonable prices, a simple but tasty menu, unspoilt views, biker Sundays, unplugged acoustic sessions from "real musicians"

It was going to be the start of something, the jungle park traffic would have been a bonus not a necessity, and anyway the bar is on the split so the returning traffic would not drive straight past it. Weekend mornings it was popular with the clubbers that drove there to watch the sunrise. There were other markets to tap into as well but that were my/our ideas and not for sharing.

No sign of anyone over the last couple of weeks according to a neighbour.

But there Is a chance the Plan General de Ordenanza has been sorted and they are able to rectify these problems now, I've been trying to get a meeting for 2 weeks with Urbanismo but KBE Garcia hasnt been there.

Looks like they are trying to sort out El Mojon tourist complexes as the JCBs are there again digging out the rocks
