The Tenerife Cabildo, has now recognized JA as a press site, part of the official media in Tenerife.

And I think very well deserved.:tiphat:

Will admin now think again ?

Is it a lifetime ban? If so will shel have the right to appeal to the European Court.Though I'm sure she won't want to as she seems to be doing just fine on her own!

Ive no idea why she was banned, maybe she was using the site to peddle porn, who knows it had to have been something as bad as that or worse that her name cannot even be used in a private message to another member. But is her ban the reason why there are so few active members on the forum anymore? Has everyone voted with their feet? Rules are rules, even If the rules end up killing the community.

Not welcome indeed, despite the fact that she is clearly the single most valuable source of information for expats living in Tenerife. So ok, she cannot be referred to on the forum in public but why cant we name her in a pm? that's just punishing all of us.

It's all really rather pathetic. Truth is she wouldn't return even if the "rules" were changed to allow her to do so and who can blame her

Massive loss to this place of course, but this place will continue to not see it that way, only theirs, until if finally falls to bits.

Ho mum

pft....

Can someone start a petition . Stating that we would like her back from exile.
Or would that be mutiny and the signees of the petition suffer a lifetime ban. :flatcap::feret::feret::feret::feret:

I am now sat back awaiting a reply from Admin

Erm, The reason was; The lady in question left this forum and became a Mod on another one. Was talk at the time of burning on the stake.

Keep the ban if Admin want to be that petty, but just allow us to post a link to her site for all the useful information she posts. or do what I do and have her Site in my Bookmarks.

Slodgedad, I suppose one can abbreviate "a set of rules is a set of rules" to "rules is rules" and it works gramatically.

Anyway, what difference does it make if a government "recognizes" something? The thing itself has not changed.

Ive no idea why she was banned

With the greatest respect, because of this, you really aren't in a position to comment.

But is her ban the reason why there are so few active members on the forum anymore? Has everyone voted with their feet? Rules are rules, even If the rules end up killing the community.

... again with respect, on what basis do you base this assumption?

Erm, The reason was; The lady in question left this forum and became a Mod on another one.

That was what started the situation, but it is by no means the end of the story.

This thread is now closed.

Whilst members are obviously free to visit any website that they chose, Tenerife Forum will not actively promote the business of a banned member.
