For a week or two I have had a regular and prolonged attack on my desktop computer, which fortunately Norton has seen off, but sooner or later that attack might get through.

Can anyone recommend software that enables you to be invisible on line?

(OR even know of software I can attack the attacker with?....don't worry bout that!)

On Internet Explorer go into tools, then into safety, then press in private browsing,no one can follow you. Also go into tools and turn on tracking protection,it is up to you what tracking protection you require. It has worked for me for a long time I also use my free BT software.

Ideally you don't even use Internet Explorer. Chrome and Firefox have fewer security vulnerabilities.

Problem 'solved'. I found I had an older magazine DVD with GhostSurf on it, which I decided to tried out. The download seemed to be rather odd and I decided to delete the prog. In the process my IP no. was changed. It took some effort to finally get the prog off my computer, but it did lose the attacker.

LOL, I reckon I could have made things worse!
