View Full Version : Which are the best villages to visit in south Tenerife?
Hi - Me and the family would like to have suggestions on nice villages to visit during our stay in south Tenerife.
We have a car all week and woulld like to do 1/2 day trips to nice places with good countryside restaurants.
Any suggestions on villages, restaurants or what roads to take are very apprechiated.
Visit the village of Arguayo there is a little museum that demonstrates the old handicrafts not open on a Monday. At the end of the motorway take the TF82 to Chio then the TF375 lots of little bars along the way.

There's always Adeje - just up the hill
9PLUS
Vilaflor and up towards Teide - spectacular views
Also head west and up over to Icod de lo vinos
I could go on and on -
La Caleta is only a short trip but worth checking it out. Some lovely restaurants around the bay which is great for swimming!
Do what we do, drive past El Medano and then take any exit you want head to the sea and enjoy the different villages en route. Even more exiting if you do it in the north, as the descents are sometimes spectacular

Adeje (pueblo) for basilica, casa fuerte, Pollo al mojo restaurants....
Should mention Los Abrigos too, delightful! Las Galletas worth a trip too for being a bit different, closeish to each too
El Medano on a Saturday morning for the market in the plaza and the beach the bars the ambience it's lovely but I'm biased as I've an apartment there
